Very late, when I should have been sleeping...
I Am Watching Them

In a dream like state I
can remember what I saw
as I stood there afraid to move
silently, behind the old stone Incan wall

I thouhgt I understood what they were saying
as they hurried to board their ship
then all at once they were gone
and deeper into my trace I did slip

For hours I just stood there
I still don't really understand
what I saw there in front of me
they were not beast, they were not man

Things like that ya never forget
why I didn't go with them, I still regret
that day back in 1972
high in The Andes of Peru

I tell you this, and it's true
that even today
I see them everywhere
they never go away
