Very late, when I should have been sleeping...
The Lovers Kiss
In a dream like state I can remember
what her kiss meant to me
when our lips touched at first
it was always, gentle as could be
then when our breathe mixed
deep down inside my lungs
I forgot how old I was
and I felt ever so young
and ready, willing and able
to make sweet love to her
then I pop out of the dream
and eveything is a blur
it's hard to see through tear drops
that are falling from your eye
sitting on the edge of the bed at night
alone, just wondering why
